Tryouts for the certain teams have changed please make sure to see if your times have been affected.

A tryout fee of $95 for the following teams (please see tryout costs below)

Minor Atom A: A - J Aug 28 6pm - 7:30pm / K - Z  7:30 - 9pm

Major Atom A: A - Z  Aug 31 6pm -  8pm 

Minor Peewee A: A-L, Aug 27 6pm - 7:30 / M - Z 7:30 - 9pm

 

Major Peewee AA : A-Z  Aug 30   6pm - 8pm

 

Minor Bantam AA: A -Z ,  Aug 29  6pm - 8pm 

 

Major Bantam AA:  Aug 28  A - Z    9pm - 10:30pm 
 

Minor Midget AA: Aug 27  9pm - 10:30pm
,                          Aug 29  8pm - 10pm

 

Tryouts will continue until September 3 when all teams are expected to be completed

 

Location: Unless indicated above, tryouts will be held at the Cavanaugh Construction Sensplex (Kinburn Sensplex) located on Carp Rd at Kinburn Side Rd.

 

Tryout Costs: The one-time charge for the tryouts will be $95.00 payable to the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven Minor Hockey Club by either cash or cheque. Payment must be made at the first tryout session. Players who tried out at the Major Atom AA, Minor Peewee AA or Major Peewee AA and who were released will see their registration fee reduced to $65 (from $95).


Tryout Registration: All players must be registered with their respective District 4 Home Association prior to registering to tryout. We recommend that players arrive at least 45 minutes before the first session to allow time for registration. Players may register online for tryouts by clicking HERE, payment will be due upon registration at the arena.

 

Tryout Process: Teams will be finalized following approximately (5) tryout sessions of one and half hours each. Releases will start following the first two sessions. Tryouts may consist of drills, scrimmages and exhibition games.

 

General Information


Jerseys: Silver Seven tryout jerseys will be provided upon registration. All other equipment is the responsibility of the individual player.

Evaluators/Assistants: During tryouts, evaluators and on-ice assistants may not participate if they have a child trying out for the age-group. The Head Coach may be the only person who may have a child trying out at that level.


Team Make-Up: There is no minimum or maximum player representation required from any one District Association. Each team will have a target of (9) forwards, (6) defense and (2) goalies.
