OVSS Minor Peewee A White Off to College

Thanks to all kids, parents, family and coaches for a great weekend.

• To Ed for all his efforts  and everyone else who helped  throughout the weekend.
• To Clarkson for treating us like Alumni.
• To Ben Sexton, Allan MacPherson, Scott Smalling, and strength coach Rodriguez for taking the time to show off Clarkson to the team.
• To the Potsdam/St Lawrence Thunder for hosting us.

Highlights:

• The whole weekend!
• The tour of such a fine educational and athletic institution.
• Learning about the path to attending and playing hockey at such an elite school through the eyes of students and the director
• Experiencing the energy and excitement of a fast paced college game. The band, the cheers and chants provided lots of entertainment!
• Having the team play 2 different teams at 2 different rinks, representing themselves, the team, their association with utmost professionalism.
• Meeting Craig Conroy at the hotel.
• At the end of a busy day, a chance to sit and chat with the parents and have a few laughs.

Educational Facts:

1. Fruit Loops are bad, Red Bull does not give you wings, and Kraft Dinner is not a food group.  Thank you Pint for for trying to get this last one through.
2. The cost playing competitive hockey is comparible to attending Clarkson.
3. Composite sticks are not made of gold, there is just a huge mark up on them!
4. According to Clarkson students, any ref that screws up a call apparently does not have any parents!
5. Shopping and hockey go hand in hand! Thank you Massena!
6. The ice surface in Massena has proven to me that the earth's surface is not flat.
