Please Welcome Our U15AA Head Coach 2024-2025

Dear Players and Parents,
I am excited to introduce myself as the U15AA Silver Seven coach for the upcoming season. My name is Trevor Choffe, and I bring over twenty years of coaching experience to the team. Having worked with players of all ages and skill levels, I firmly believe in a coaching philosophy that emphasizes skill development, character building, teamwork, and fun. When we focus on these aspects, winning naturally follows.
As a former junior hockey player, I understand the commitment required to reach the next level. Our goal is not only success on the ice but also personal growth off the ice. Here are some key points for the season:
1. Tryouts: Expect an intense and competitive tryout process. I encourage all players to give their best and compete for a spot on the team. We are looking for players with a high hockey IQ, drive, and a strong work ethic.
2. Commitment: Players and parents should be prepared for 4-5 sessions per week, including games, practices, video sessions, and off-ice training. This year, U15 is part of the Hockey Canada Pathways program, which opens up new opportunities.  Learn more about the Hockey Canada Pathways initiative here.
3. Tournaments: Mark your calendars for the following tournaments:
• Belleville Pre-Season Tilt: September 27th to 29th
• Capital Fall Classic: November 1st to 3rd 
• Silver Stick – Pembroke Regional: November 22nd to 24th 
• Oshawa Cup: January 10th to 12th
• If we qualify, the International Silver Stick Tournament in Port Huron: January 23rd to 26th
