Coach Ralph

Dear Players and Parents,
I am excited to introduce myself as the U10 Silver Seven coach for the upcoming season. My name is Jason Ralph, and I bring a lot hockey knowledge and experience to the team. Having worked with players of all ages and skill levels, I firmly believe in a coaching philosophy that emphasizes hard work, skill development, character building, teamwork, and fun!  When we focus on these aspects, Success naturally follows.
As a former junior (Kanata Lasers), DIV 1 ECAC (Union College) , and professional player (AHL,ECHL,WCHL,UHL, IHL), I understand the commitment required to reach the next level. Our goal is not only success on the ice but also personal growth off the ice. Here are some key points for the season:
1. Tryouts: You can expect an intense and competitive tryout process. I encourage all players to give their best and compete for a spot on the team. We are looking for players with a high hockey IQ, drive, good teammates, and a strong work ethic.
2. Commitment: Players and parents should be prepared for 4-5 sessions per week, including games, practices, some video sessions, and off-ice training. This year, U10 is part of the Hockey Canada Pathways program, and we will be following this closely.  Learn more about the Hockey Canada Pathways initiative here.
3. Tournaments:
Our Silver Seven Tournament Oct 25-27
Northumberland silver stick Nov 22-24
Preston Hockey tournament Jan 10-12
Barrie Colts AAA Challenge Jan 31- Feb 2.
Please don’t book days off yet as dates are subject to change.
I look forward to meeting each of you at the rink. If you have any questions or need assistance,
Feel free to reach out.
Jay Ralph
